Fundraising & Fellowship/Family of Rotary

Lionel Fernander, Ian Carey

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for organising the fundraising events to generate the funds for use in the various Community Service Projects which the club is involved in.  A primary consideration of this Committee, and the overall philosophy of Rotary, is that every dollar raised from the public has to be put back into the community, in some way.  We are only allowed to deduct expenses incurred in raising the money.

Fellowship/Family of Rotary

Sandra Ingraham, Julian Carey, Ann Simmons

Goals & Objectives:-

  • Organise fellowship events, no less than monthly, for members to foster an atmosphere of camaraderie.  This should include games night, happy hours, members only fun day etc.
  • Canvass members to determine what type of fellowship events they would like to see the club arrange.
  • Arrange fellowship events involving the families of Rotarians.  This can include Fun Day/Picnic, Scavenger Hunt, Christmas Party, Monte Carlo night.
  • Appoint person(s) to act as greeters at weekly meetings to ensure that guests and new members are made to feel welcome.
  • Work with Community Service director to plan service/fellowship trips.
  • Any other events as determined from time to time by the director and the board.
  • Select projects in keeping with the RI Presidents Citation requirements and District Governor's Award requirements.
