Rotarians of District 7020 are some of the most passionate Rotarians in the world. We work as hard as we can to enhance our communities in as many ways as possible and we have raised the profile of Rotary in our countries to levels which are envied by many. But we also value our fellowship, and especially fellowship at our annual District Conference.
This year’s conference team had high hopes of hosting a face-to-face conference here in Nassau and to have a celebration for the ages, as we assembled once again as the great District 7020. We held out hope for as long as we could, and our optimism appeared to be rewarded when vaccine rollouts began in December. Alas, the speed of the roll out of vaccines in many of our countries was not fast enough to provide the confidence level we wanted in order put on a safe and vibrant face to face conference. In countries where vaccine rollouts were swifter, travel restrictions made leaving the country challenging. So, it was with deep regret that we made the decision to pivot to a virtual conference instead.
For two days – Saturday May 29th and Saturday June 5th from 9 am to 2 pm we will host our annual District Assembly and Conference on a virtual platform. We are preparing a programme which we hope that you will find engaging, informative and exciting. And though we cannot fellowship in the ways that we prefer, we are hopeful that it will provide a small taste of that fellowship to keep you going until the next conference.
Below is the link to register for these events, which by the way are completely free thanks to clubs in The Bahamas and several sponsors. We have simplified the process so that there is just one link to register for both days.
We look forward to having you join us.
