Public Meeting on " Animal Rights"

 

The meeting was organized and chaired by members of the Early Act Club of Deep Creek Middle School. Presentation on the topic were given by Sandra Cooke and Lissa McCombe who are both young Bahamians and passionate animal activist. Both ladies are actively  involved with BAARK (Bahamas Alliance for Animal Rights and Kindness), AND OPERATION POTCAKE (Bahamas Spay & Neuter Program), and have successfully conducted spay and neuter campaigns on the island of New Providence, Inagua and Exuma islands. The meeting was designed to educate local residents about the benefits of spaying and neutering pets to both the animals and to the community. An educational documentary of efforts was presents, and several "Potcake" dogs were also in attendance.
