The Great Work of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera
This month, Rotary Club of Eleuthera showcased the great work done on Eleuthera through the club. Signs of various sizes were affixed on partner projects and in strategic locations like airport entrances, and a major public spaces.
In a very short time since Charter (2009), the club has made significant contributions to various projects in just about the all five areas of Rotary.
These include: Establishing the Bannerman Town Library – In partnership with RCESN, RCS, Bannerman Town Community Dev. Island Journeys.
Establishment of EarlyAct Club at Deep Creek Middle School.
Building the Wemyss Bight Emergency Operation Center – In Partnership with (South Eleuthera Emergency Partners) SEEP, RCEN, Cotton Bay Homeowners Association. Back to Ya Roots
Equipping the Preston Albury High School Workshop – In partnership with two US Rotary club including Rancho Cotati
Developing SEEP EOC Tarpum Bay – In partnership with SEEP
Development of the Eleuthera Arts and Cultural Center – In partnership with Tarpum Bay Historical and Heritage (Meeting place for our Rotaract Club).
Establishing resource classroom for Exceptional Educational Opportunities Tarpum Bay – In partnership with Windermere island foundation, One Eleuthera
Further Development of the Cancer Society Wellness Center – In partnership with the Cancer Society of Eleuthera
Establishment of interact at Central Eleuthera High School/Building trash receptacles, completing finish on Tuck Shop walls – In partnership with Meadows Construction (Rotarian owned Company)
Repair of Roof at Emma Cooper Primary – In partnership with Pineapple Fields
Lend Program support to the School For Exceptional Learners
Support of the Zion Children’s Home – Current island – In partnership with the Bahamas Conference of Methodist Churches
All of these projects represent $100s of thousands in investments as the small l club continues to be recognized for impactful contributions.
